VCU interview

I just got my first interview ever and it's at my 1st choice, VCU. I would love to hear from people who have interviewed at VCU. What was the interview like? I'm really worried about clinical questions. Do they concentrate heavily on clinical? Please please share.

Thanks, Dontae

I interviewed there last year. It was basically a "get to know you" interview. I met with four of the program faculty, each in their own office. It was very relaxing. I do not recall any clinical questions.

The interview should be fairly laid back. They typically don't ask clinical questions as stated by mbrian, but there's always a possibility of sneaking a few in. I heard they may incorporate a few while touring the sim center, but it's not definate. All of the faculty I've met are very nice and do not try to intimidate you.

Best of luck!!

Congratulations, dontae, on your accomplishments!.....Continued success as you embark on new challenges......VCU is also one of my top choices for anesthesia school......I have a distance to go before I get that first interview........what are the key points of your nursing education that got you that interview?

Is that Virginia Commonwealth University?

Yes, VCU is Virginia Commonwealth Univ. I'm not sure what got me an interview. GPA of 3.2. GRE =1730. I currently have about 10 months of SICU/CVICU experience at a large teaching hospital. ACLS & PALS certified. Whatever it was, I hope it's enough to get me in the program. I am very excited.
