VCU ABSN 2023 Waitlisted

Hello! I just received my admissions decision for VCU's (Virginia Commonwealth University) ABSN 2023 program. I got waitlisted which is disappointing but I was wondering how many people they usually accept from the waitlist. Also, was anyone else accepted or waitlisted? I hope you all have a good day!

Congratulations. I'm so happy for you! I'm still really bummed out, but currently working on back up options. I hope I get in soon! I check my email constantly

Thank you! Have you completed the prerequisites for the school? I would definitely complete those as soon as possible and turn them in.

I'm working on my last prerequisite now- will be done early May. I sent them an updated unofficial transcript showing my fall 2022 grades once I was on the waitlist. I guess they're just going in order of the waitlist. Wish I knew where I stood.

I'm currently completing my last prerequisite, Microbiology, through portage learning. I emailed admissions and asked if they would accept credits from them and they said yes. I assume you can take other prerequisites through them but I would ask! It cost around $800

Yes, I think definite get in contact with admissions and provide them with the school/ online program and the course number to be sure that they will accept it. @Reeve are you on the waitlist currently? How many prerequisites do you have left?

I just got off the waitlist and accepted into the program! Are there any forums/groups I can join for our cohort and to possibly find roommates? So excited!

Lucky you! I got into 3 other programs, but still on VCU's waitlist. I'm glad you got in though, congratulations! I'm hoping to hear soon

I'm commuting to the school but if you find any forums please let me know! I want to make nursing friends!
