Hey! I applied too and am super nervous because I've heard it's competitive (like 25% acceptance) but this program is my first choice. On their site it says notification is Nov 15 so 6 more weeks! I'm in the same boat as you: previous bio major, my GPA is probably my weakest point. I go to UR. I have 2 years scribe experience, and completed 2 internships abroad in Spain. I'm into fitness and am a supervisor at our gym, am a competitive bodybuilder, and work with campus health & wellness programs; I'm hoping my health&fitness angles/bilingual qualities will help me. Are you applying anywhere else?
I'm also a scribe with 2.5 years experience. I graduated with my B.S. in Biology. I'm a volunteer EMS. However, my GPA is also my weakest. I was previously a chemistry major transitioned to biology. I called the office of admissions and they said people who are accepted and declined into the program will receive an email on November 15. I'm super nervous!
Ah, good to find a thread for one of my prospective programs.
Coley, I didn't get any confirmation or anything after emailing to accept my spot on the waitlist, but they sent me the "you're accepted off the waitlist" email today.
Obviously, since it's been a bit since you posted, I don't know if you've heard anything as well by now, but if you're still waiting, if you emailed them, I think you're most likely on the waitlist.
Rooting for everyone else still on the waitlist. May things work out in your favor!

Hey guys!!
I am applying into VCU ABSN's Program for Summer 2019! I am excited and very hopeful to start this application journey. My GPA is not the best. I was a biology major prior to deciding that a nursing is right for me! I am currently a scribe (1 yr experience) and am applying to work as a CNA at a local hospital.
I have already taken stat, physiology+lab, and medical micro+ lab; Finished with B's. I take Anatomy and life psych..
Although I have started my app, I am on the fence on waiting to apply next cycle or to continue with this application because of my GPA and not having anatomy complete.
I would LOVE to hear from other applicants for advice and support!
