Hi guys! I decided to apply after the priority deadline had passed but applied OMTA for the FNP program. BSN here with over 6 yrs working in the NICU.
Was reading on the previous cohort thread that decisions for priority deadline applicants were released around December 21st and that the second wave of decisions was released around March 3rd. Hope that helps with expectations!
Good luck to everyone!
Hello! I also applied at the end of November, after the priority deadline had passed, so I'm not expecting to hear anything until January or February based on what I learned from the admissions office. I have a year and a half as a primary care RN under my belt with a year of working as an MA before that, all at FQHCs. 3.9 GPA in my BSN and a fair bit of various volunteer work, as well as some student government stuff while in my BSN program. I'm a career changer with a previous degree in art. I applied part time OMTA for the FNP MSN program. Vandy is my first choice school, particularly because of their CAP program, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a positive result early next year! Good luck to everyone!
Hi everyone!! I applied priority and MTA!! I applied for Full Time PMHNP! I have 7 years of nursing experience and 5 years of psych/substance abuse! Vanderbilt is my first choice, I was accepted into UABs PMHNP program for Summer 2026 but Vandy's program has always been my #1!! Good luck to everyone!
Hi I also applied PNP-PC OMTA. I don't think I'll get in, I have a low BSN GPA (3.1) but I also have my MPH (3.75). I also have 3 years of pediatric RN experience (PICU and outpatient clinic). I also have lots of volunteer experience. Here's to hoping for the best.
Does anyone know when decisions will for sure come out? I thought for priority they were suppose to come out today? Best of luck everyone.

I attended two of their information sessions, and they didn't mention a specific date for us to hear back, unfortunately. The admissions officer mentioned that they try to get decisions in by the end of December, but occasionally they come out at the beginning of January.

That's a bummer, when I went on an information session they said they would be out on December 15th most likely maybe a bit later
I am under review

I saw a fairly concerning Reddit post (called "What the heck is going on at the nursing school?" in the Vanderbilt subreddit, in case anyone wants to read through it) for the Spring 2026 applicants, where they were supposed to hear in July, and it kept getting pushed back until they finally heard in October. The fall cohort is the main cohort, so it's definitely possible that they'll get back to us sooner, but I'm going to manage my expectations about the timeline.

Just finished reading this. Really hope this isn't the case for the main cohort. Though I suppose the bright side is that, to those who end up with multiple offers, they won't be pressured to give up said offers right away to their programs if decisions come back at a similar timeframes.

Hi everyone, I don't see a form for this yet, but with the priority deadline being October 15th for MSN programs at Vanderbilt, I wanted to make a thread.
I am applying OMTA for PNP-PC.
