Yeah, I know... I'm waaaay ahead of time :) But I thought there might be some people planning ahead like me. I'm graduating in December and I thought some others might like to discuss what you are doing to help you get in! I have a 3.7, I'm doing a medical mission to Guatamala in May, attending the NSNA annual convention, and hopefully working at a special needs day camp over the summer. I know I need some volunteer hours, so I'm hoping to fit them in at the end of the summer and during next semester, and praying its enough. Anyone else? [Pediatrics BTW]
Ha- My NCLEX is also scheduled a week after the interview. I contemplated driving (I live in Jersey so 14 hours away) but decided against it last minute. Are you leaving immediately after the interview? I hope you plan on crashing at least one night somewhere, so you can rest. When is your interview? Mine is October 16th
Oh boy, well at least someone else is in the same boat. Fortunately I'm driving down with two friends. Well stay Sunday -Tuesday and leave early weds morning. I'll have some down time in between. One of the girls I'm going with is taking it the following week too so we can at least do Kaplan on the drive. My interview is the 8th. Crunch time
They told me they ask everyone the same questions. It went good! They were very friendly and it was a low stress environment, Its a tiny conference room and there were only two interviewers on the "panel" They offered me a drink and even small talked a bit. Very friendly. And Tracey is the one who greets you when you get there. She was awesome!

Firstly, to all of those who did not get interviews, you will find something...keep your chin up despite how hard it is.
Itrust,
I am driving down (12 hours) from PA. I think the email also had an attachment of local places to stay there. I can't help you with that, unfortunately. I am also extremely nervous about this interview. I have been researching random nursing interview questions and "behavioral-based" questions and I feel like no matter how hard we prepare, it won't calm those nerves. I do like that nursing journal idea though. Has anyone taken their NCLEX? Mine is schedule for a week after this interview...eeeek so many things at once!
