Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Program - Winter 2013

I just mailed off my packet to Vanderbilt today! I'm so nervous and really hoping to get an interview for this program. Adult Critical Care is my first choice. I graduated in May 2012 with my BSN from Washington State University. I thought it would be fun to start a thread for people applying for the Winter 2013 program.

Hoping to meet other people who are applying to this program.

I'm in for the Emergency Department Track! Anyone else accepted to that one?

WOOHOO just got an acceptance letter for the Emergency track. I'm coming from Colorado. When are you all moving out their? I'm planning on moving the first week of January

Congrats to everyone who was offered a spot! I am so torn... I have two offers, one from Duke and one from Vanderbilt - both PEDS. Pay is comparable at both, but Duke offers a relocation grant and Vanderbilt does not. I interviewed in person at Duke, met the staff on my floor, saw the medical center, and checked out the surrounding area. I did a skype interview with Vanderbilt so I have no idea what the medical center or staff is like. What was everyone's impression when they visited? Is the medical center up-to-date, clean, organized, and technologically advanced? How were the staff members that you met? Anybody know what the cost of living is like in Nashville? I have a lot of research to do and not much time!

I won't have time to visit Nashville because they want our response by the 26th. I don't know what to do! Help!
