Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Program Summer 2017

I know I am WAY ahead on this, but I just wanted to see who all was applying for VUMC nurse residency program in the summer 2017? The application opens up on December 9th and I want to apply for the Adult Critical Care Track! If anyone has any tips on the application, please feel free to comment! :) I know it's a long time coming, but I just want to see who out there will be applying!

Hey there! I have a quick question. So I had no volunteer/leadership experience, but I had a externship this summer. I've had a serving/bartending job for over 7 years with the same company (hoping that helps with them seeing that it intertwines with critical care), I received my ACLS in December to help boost my application and became a member of AACN, and my senior internship was in a level one trauma ICU. I also worked weeks on my cover letter which I thought looked pretty good. BUT my cumulative gpa and nursing gpa are not that great, and like I said I have no leadership or volunteer experience. Do you think I have any chance of getting an interview? Sorry for the book I just wrote í ½í¸‚

My name is Chelsea and I'm from Rochester, NY. I have applied for the pediatric oncology summer internship program! I am very excited but nervous to see. Vandy is my first choice, so I'm putting all my eggs in one basket.

That is awesome! I also applied to Tristar Centennial and Skyline hospitals which I have interviews for in March but Vandy is my top choice as well! Good luck!!!

End of Feb...but, from what I understand they'll also offer Skype interviews for those who live very far. I'm sure you would rather be "in-person" for your interview though.
