Vanderbilt NRP Fall 2016

Published

Anyone applying to VUMC's Nurse Residency Program that will be starting October 2016? The application opens in May!

If anyone from previous cohorts currently work there, any advice is welcome!

How did everyones interview go? Maybe we will start hearing back this week.

Hey guys! I had an interview for the Pediatric PICU, I think it went really well! I've been looking into townhomes and apartments. Apartments are pretty pricey, looking at around $1000 a person. I'm thinking about renting a townhome with 3-4 roommates, the cost would be around $750 a person, walking distance to work... Good luck everyone! (:

Hey there! Would you mind telling us what starting pay was?

Ive heard starting pay is between $21-$23. Not sure if that has changed but I think there is a $6 differential for weekends and there is also one for nights... not sure how much that is!

Awesome thank you! What track was your interview for?

Oops, I meant cardiac PICU (:

I interviewed for Adult Med track, they said I would find out which unit right away if I were to receive an offer. Not too sure how the interview went but the panel was super nice so we shall see!

This waiting is killing me, I keep checking my email every 5 minutes for an offer!! Good luck (:

@IGOTMYBSN28 What are your pro and cons about the program?

Anyone know how many spots there are in each unit for the critical care track?

Hey Everyone! I interviewed for the acute adult med track and I was wondering if anybody has heard anything yet? Good luck

Heard back yesterday with a wait list offer. Good luck to those still waiting!
