Hello! I have seen forums for the previous years' application cycles, but not for the class starting fall 2012.
Sooo... how's it going for everyone? I take the GRE on Friday (gah!) so of course I'm trying to avoid studying for that!
@amandy45: the questions were exactly the same as the ones shazza0001 has listed because i also interviewed for the cnm/fnp track. they also asked why i chose the specialty and would you be willing to travel for clinical rotations. after that they asked if i had any questions. hope that helps and good luck!
I interviewed on Monday and they didn't ask me anything about why I selected my specialty. Given, my personal statement is fairly passionate, but my interview lasted only 5 minutes (except for the part where I asked them questions.) They asked me three questions: One about group learning, the one about was I willing to travel around for clinicals, and how did I handle conflict. All in all, it was a pretty strange interview and I have no idea what to make of it. I interviewed 2 weeks ago at Yale (in person) and I thought it went quite well and feel pretty good about it - but this - it was just weird. Anyone else have any bizarrely brief interviews?
Glad to hear I wasn't the only one with a short interview. Mine lasted about 15 minutes total, about 5 of those were me asking questions. And I asked them at the beginning of the interview. I wanted to ask "what do you think makes a good candidate for this program" or "what do you expect out of students in this program," but I thought that would be weird to ask at the beginning, because then I would obviously be using those words and phrases during answering their questions. And one of the women was late for the interview, but it was only 5 minutes or so. And when the other called to introduce herself to me, she explained that the other was having a SNAFU and was stuck in traffic. Yes, she used the word SNAFU, and I thought that was absolutely amazing. As if I didn't want to go here enough already, that just solidified it hahaha. Okay, slightly joking. But only slightly... :)
i was wondering if other people have gotten into other schools that have ridiculously soon dates for sending in deposits. i really want to know if i got into vandy so i don't end up sending a deposit to a school that i'm not as excited about, but some schools want deposits so early! has anyone else encountered this problem??

Does anyone know if CNM competes with CNM/FNP applicants or if they are considered separately?
