Hello! I have seen forums for the previous years' application cycles, but not for the class starting fall 2012.
Sooo... how's it going for everyone? I take the GRE on Friday (gah!) so of course I'm trying to avoid studying for that!
I live in Chicago and got the financial aid stuff on Friday. Not going to even look at it until I know if i'm in! If the final interviews are happening Feb 8 or 9 then I bet that's when they send the files for final review. I was told this past Monday that it would be like 2 weeks until they were sent off. Judging from last years forum people started hearing decision on Feb 18-20ish so they must mostly have their decisions made before they send out the lucky final ones is my guess!
Hi Everyone! It's so nice to hear about everyones experience through the application process! I've applied for Fall 2012 to the NNP program. I received an email last week that my application had gone for review. I did get mine in late; not until the 2nd week of December. My GRE scores arent great and my writing score was 3.5 but I have 18 years nursery experience, including NICU, and a BSN. So I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed and see what happens! I live in Kentucky so will do the distance learning. The email I received did say they will start notifying everyone of admission starting March 15th. Good luck to all!!
had my interview this morning with two very nice women (a faculty member and another one from the FNP dept) and also got some financial aid info. what does the latter mean? does everyone who applied gets it? i asked when decisions would come out, and they told me by march 15th. seems like a looooooong time away.....
Hi everyone! I've been posting on other threads, but I haven't posted on the Vanderbilt thread yet...I received an e-mail for my interview yesterday, and scheduled it for Thursday morning!
Bluskyy: If you don't mind me asking, what were some of the questions they asked? I'm applying for CNM, but it would be helpful to have a chance to think ahead and prepare some :)
Do you know if most applicants receive interviews?
Any information helps a ton! Good luck to everyone and I look forward to talking with you all more!
i interviewed this afternoon for the CNM/FNP (pre-specialty) program. they asked some basic questions like... what is your learning style? tell me about a time when you went through a difficult situation and what did you learn from that experience? it was a 20 minute interview. they were very warm and friendly.

Got a letter from Vandy today...started to get excited....it was the financial aid info. I looked back through old posts and it seems everyone who applies gets one. I feel goofy checking this site so much, waiting for any little morsel of info that might make the wait less frustrating. Anywho...good luck to those who had and those who are about to have their interview and for the rest of us....I wish a good night's sleep..:)
