I think I was waitlisted because I applied so late to the program. I hadn't considered going to the island for nursing at first, but only realized it was an option for me a week before applications were closing. Anyways, I'm just happy there's still a chance I could get in.

Ya that could definitely be a factor. I applied the first day the were accepting applications. I hope you get in, good luck.

Hello!

I originally applied at UFV then thought I should apply at VIU as they allow you to send in interm upgraded grades which I ended up doing so here I am! I didn't get accepted originally... I was shocked to open the letter to get a not accepted response as with my upgraded grades, I had all A's, with an A+. I figured it was because when I sent in my interm grades, it bumped my application date back... but.... today I received a letter to say that so many applicants declined their seats that they opened up a 23 seat wait list and I was included on the list. I emailed in to see where I stand on the list as I live in Chilliwack and would have to relocate to take the seat. I'm excited. :)
