Valencia Spring 2021

Published

Hi, everyone! I just applied for Spring 2021 at Valencia (Yeah! I'm late, but covid got me stuck with TEAS requirement). I want to make a thread for those who will apply or already applied and try to get updates. Let's keep us updated and help each other!

I’m so nervous! I applied in the end of April and I know there’s a lots of people who applied before that ?

How does it work when waitlisted? Do you need to apply again or will they just move the application?

When waitlisted, you do not have to apply again. You’ll just be moved to the next semester!

The good news is that for us who are waitlisted, we only have to wait until February  to find out about the Summer! Last year I got the email like feb 27

That’s not that bad! Maybe by then classes would be back to in person too...

Exactly! :)

The nerve wracking part is that there is no telling how many people applied because of covid! Some people applied early because waitlisted, others couldn’t apply at all because they were unable to take the TEAS. So ugh !!

I guess we’re gonna find out next week. ?? Good luck for you all.

I just peeped at registration for Spring 2021 for Nursing 1, it's showing that it's online. Hopefully not. I counted the number show 144 spots?  Speculation here. Does that mean they're accepting 144 students? ????

Hey guys! I am a current Nursing I student. I initially got accepted for Summer 2020 but due to covid didn’t start until this semester Fall 2020. Classes for nursing are currently hybrid. So lecture is via zoom 2 days a week and labs in person. I hope that helps you have an idea of how the schedule is.

How is it going doing the lecture on zoom? What are the hours like for lecture and lab? Thanks the info too btw.

It’s going well. Professors do the best they can given the circumstances. I’m on evening/weekend program so my class is from 5:30pm-8:30pm T & W, lab is Saturdays and they give us a time to go to lab (its always different). We’re in lab for like 2-3 hours depending.

That’s good! Glad it’s going well for you. Will you get to do clinicals this term?

Unfortunately no. But it seems like we will be doing clinicals next semester. Nursing I is a lot about learning the skills. And they usually go to nursing homes but due to covid we can’t because as you know thats the population the most at risk.

but anything can change for Spring 2021

Nice! What about working? Do you think it’s possible to work 4 days per week?
