  1. Hey Everyone! Just as an FYI... I understand that you are all anxious for that email to come in. However, registration is separate for Nursing Students. You will end up registering later during the semester if not at the end of the semester. So it doesn't matter that registration opens next week for nursing students you can't register until days after Orientation when they tell you to do so. Meaning you might or might not hear from them next week. I hope you do hear from them early next week tho! I'm wishing you all the BEST!!
  2. Yes, it is! It is hard but not impossible. I can recommend studying Dosage Calculations!! Super important and even when you start this is something we teach ourselves. Self-taught. I would also recommend reviewing anatomy at least an overview of each body system. And review your medical terms/abbreviations. If you struggle with time management please find ways to help you because this is KEY!! You're welcome! I was in one of these groups when I first applied so I know how anxious you all are feeling.
  3. I would say it depends... is it a necessity? And how are your hours? I work 5 days/week 5 hours each day from home (Part time). My job and my boss are very flexible so for now its working perfectly. Studying will take ALL your time and im not exagerating. You will be reading and studying almost if not everyday! I know of some in my class that had to quit their jobs to do better in exams. Like I said it depends and in my opinion it will be harder.
  4. Unfortunately no. But it seems like we will be doing clinicals next semester. Nursing I is a lot about learning the skills. And they usually go to nursing homes but due to covid we can’t because as you know thats the population the most at risk. but anything can change for Spring 2021
  5. It’s going well. Professors do the best they can given the circumstances. I’m on evening/weekend program so my class is from 5:30pm-8:30pm T & W, lab is Saturdays and they give us a time to go to lab (its always different). We’re in lab for like 2-3 hours depending.
  6. Hey guys! I am a current Nursing I student. I initially got accepted for Summer 2020 but due to covid didn’t start until this semester Fall 2020. Classes for nursing are currently hybrid. So lecture is via zoom 2 days a week and labs in person. I hope that helps you have an idea of how the schedule is.
  7. @YaniWillBeARN Hey! I emailed my advisor yesterday and she said she will be sending emails/invite for orientation on Monday.
  8. Hey! Yes apparently Orientation will be July 14th. I’m just anxious for them to send us an official email with all of that information.
  9. I don't think so. I think that's for concurrent students.
  10. Thank You! I have so many questions... What classes are you taking for first semester, Nursing I ?Any advice you could give us? How's it going for you? The books, how do we buy them? Does Valencia have a "bundle" with all the books or you buy them per semester?
  11. Yes, you will get it. It will be coming from the Health Science Applications email address.
  12. Hey! They just sent me a confirmation email about accepting my seat for the evening program.
  13. So has anyone emailed them about what's the next step after the submission of the Google form? I'm kinda nervous since we didn't get a confirmation email and/or further information.
  14. Hello everyone! I have completed the Google Form accepting the Evening/Weekend program. I have DECLINED the Daytime seat offered to me. I hope this helps at least one of you to get in.
