Hello! Just starting a thread for all of us accepted into the Spring 2013 class to get aquainted and keep each other informed on what's to come! I will be enjoying my freedom for another few months! :-) Until January!

VNSA does the polo shirts, on your first day ask the instructors about them they will help you out. Don't stress it's going to be a lot of fun

Do we get our name tags on the first day of class or is it available at the bookstore before that? I have already ordered but was just confused on when to pick it up. Please let me know.

Do we need to bring all our books to class the first day, or at last the ones we have?

VNSA is the only place to get your polo's from, I'm sure they ordered more and will have them on the first day. Is anyone else thinking of joining VNSA? Mattborlando did you join VNSA?

At orientation they told us to being our potter & perry textbook and the syllabus to the first day of class. I joined the VNSA, does anyone know if & when meetings will be?Paulaj: Yes wear professional attire. We're supposed to wear professional attire to every class (aside from when the clinicals and polo uniforms are required) though jeans are ok as long as they're appropriate.

Where did you find the Online Syllabus? I'm having a hard time locating it.

I haven't found the syllabus yet either. I'm guessing they'll either email it, or when blackboard opens on the firat day of class we'll be able to print it, but that's just a guess so who knows! :)

Ok so at least I'm not the only one. I'm sure that's what they're going to do, give us the info to find it on the first day of class. I bought my Pharm book from the bookstore so that just leaves me "Workbook for Nursing 1" any info on that one?

I think the workbook will be in blackboard also. I just found the Pharm book on Amazon for $108 so I have officially purchased all of my books! Yay. Did anyone get any of the recommended books, if so, which ones?

Also, as for the white shoes that are required, are there any rules as to which kind we have to get? For example, no clogs, slip resistant, etc. I'd prefer to get a shoes with no laces as I feel the laces will harbor bacteria, but I'm a bit of a freak about that stuff.

I got Fundamentals and Test Success as well as Davis's Drug guide. I think the only rule about the white shoes is that they must have a back on them, no clogs
