Hey! I'm in my second semester at Valencia. The program is HARD and overall it's alright. I did the concurrent program application so it took about 8 weeks to hear back from them. My first semester schedule I had class MTWTH 9am-12pm then T/Th lab from 12pm-4pm. I did fill out the appeal form and I received financial aid. The process is super easy and you'll get approved as long as they see you are actually motivated towards your Nursing degree.
Hi Everyone,
My name is Julio, I have also applied for the traditional program on May 2. SUPER EXCITED and nervous as well!! I also have to submit an appeal form due to completing my bachelor's degree years ago. The instructions for the appeal are straight forward and can be found here----> Forms - Financial Aid - Valencia College . I hope this helps and hopefully, we'll hear back soon!
Yay! I am happy you all found my thread! I have been researching like crazy to find out more info about anything I possibly can lol I am so excited and nervous too! Hopefully we all hear back something soon! I attended an information session a few days ago, and the advisor said that if you submit your application on or before May 15th, that you are most likely to be admitted for the Fall term. Which spiked up the anxiety level! But I am sooo excited to start already!
Kdomi005, I really appreciate the info! If I'm not mistaken, you fill out the appeal form once you have been accepted to the program, correct? I wish you the very best of luck! And look forward to hearing about anything else you can help us with! :)
Hi Julio! Good luck to you as well and everyone else! I'm still waiting! I heard from another member that they contacted Valencia and that if we don't hear anything back by the 20th to give them a call. Hopefully we hear something back by next week! I'm so excited and hope to meet you all!

Hey everyone,
I recently submitted my Nursing, Traditional application on May 11th! I have met all the requirements for the program for the past 2 years! However, I decided to hold off until my daughter started kindergarten. (I also have a two year old EEK!) I am so excited to hear back already!
For previous applicants/students: How long did you wait to hear back from them? How is the program overall? Is there any advice you'd like to give? Anyone remember or know what the first semester's schedule is like? Also, since I have completed my A.A, financial aid is saying that I have too many hours and need to submit an appeal form. Anyone else have to do this? Or, is there any scholarships that I can look into? Any advice would be a great deal of help!
Ahh, I'm so excited and nervous!!
