Hello everyone! I can’t seem to find a thread for FALL 2019 for Valencia college. So I decided to make one and see when others have put their applications in and all that good stuff.

That was my first attempt with about 3 whole days of serious studying and a week of not so serious studying. I did poorly on the grammar portion and AP. I know without a doubt had I actually bothered to study grammar I would've gotten a 91 easily. With another 2 weeks of studying AP I probably could've gotten a 94 or 95.
It's honestly not that hard. I aced math and did well on chem portions and reading and did bad on AP and grammar and still got an 86.7. What I mean to say is that it's not as hard as people make it out to be, the hardest part is AP and science. The rest of the stuff is 10th grade level. And I should state that I took AP back in 2014.
So don't let it stress you out, it's not that bad (except the AP portion). If you can pass 10th grade you can ace every portion except AP/Science. I was lazy and made excuses for myself and put off the TEAS for nearly 2 years because people's horror stories on here so I kept telling myself I wasn't ready and didn't have the time to devout myself to studying. When with minimal effort I managed a 86.7 while hardly retaining much AP knowledge from 5 years ago.
I know I totally agreed with you. It’s all 10th grade level. Problem is since the teas test is so important, I start panicking and my confidence goes down. I doubt myself as well when it comes to selecting two closely answer/ and choosing the wrong one. I wish one day my score will be like yours. The AP is easy for me, the hard part is math. Math is what weights me down.
Well, ultimately, your hard work has paid off. You are on your way to become a nursing student at UCF. ??⚕️

UCF offers the concurrent separately through all Florida State College System schools and also Western Governor's University has a online pre licensure BSN program in Daytona Beach that's accredited (I emailed ACCNE myself). I was about to apply to 12 different schools since you can do concurrent on your own at any community college while in a ADN program. It's on the UCF site.
Seriously dont wait for concurrent. A lot of the rural community college only require AP 1, Bio and Microbio and dont even need TEAS or HESI. There's 20 something community colleges in Florida, get in where ever you can and do the concurrent portion separately. UCF calls it the ADN-BSN Florida State College System something something.
And i'm pretty sure WGU is easier to get into since hardly anyone knows about it. A guy on youtube and someone else on here got into their program in other states with 2.7 GPAs. And their a 5 semester BSN, flat $5,500 a semester. Though their semesters are 6 months.
I deeply regret spending so many years slowly slogging it out for concurrent taking classes part time when I could've just taken 6 classes and applied to a rural community college for the ADN and still do concurrent.
I looked up WGU and they only have the RN-BSN online program and not the online pre-licensure program. I found out there are less pre reqs to take for Polk and there are courses such as AP II and Microbio you can take concurrently while in the actual nursing program. There are even online LPN-RN programs offered by rural colleges. Had I known how many options there were to become a nurse, I would have done this years ago lmao.
Edit: WGU allows you to complete 60% of the courses online. 40% is the onsite clinicals. I misunderstood haha.

And as I already wrote don't wait on SSC/Valencia concurrent. Had UCF offered the Florida State College System concurrent option back when I started in 2012, I wouldve taken 6 classes and applied to the rural community college that offer 3 semester ADN programs while doing the concurrent BSN and probably would've been a nurses for 5 years by now. Had I known about WGU I would've applied years ago as they like many of the rural community colleges dont require your gen eds to be complete.

I emailed you the link to WGU. They even accept pre reqs done through some online place called Straightliner. Their accredited by CCNE and the state of florida nursing board, as I checked myself and emailed them since it sounded so shady.
Theoretically you can start at a rural state college that offer 3 semester ADN and do the separate UCF concurrent and get your BSN before us in the Valencia UCF concurrent.

Seriously guys if your waitlisted or waiting to get all pre reqs done. Go through this list because you can do the separate UCF concurrent on your own, you don't need SSC or Valencia.
http://www.fldoe.org/schools/higher-ed/fl-college-system/colleges/
And several programs only require English 2, a college math, Bio, and AP 1 to apply. And many are shorter than Valencia or SSC.
And guys in Valencia traditional, apply to

after your first semester.

I asked and the answer is NO if you just don’t want to start this semester . They are no longer deffering to next semester unless it is a valid reason and you have to provide documentation

I would email them to double check I just know that I asked to defer and they said only for emergencies so It made it seem that we would have to re apply again and lose our spot
