Valencia Fall 2015

Published

Hello! I couldn't find any threads about Valencia for fall 2015 so I thought I'd make one. I've applied to UCF for fall but I've also applied for Valencia and will be be applying for the concurrent program as well, come may. So I thought hey, I may end up in Valencia's generic ASN track or the concurrent with Valencia/UCF so I wanted to start this thread up to seek out anyone else in the same position. Hello fellow hopefuls, how are you? Anxious? Excited? Impatient?

i remember one of the professors at orientation saying we need to have the calculating dosages safely book read by the 3rd day of class. I just got mine in the mail and have been studying it.

you need to start reading the dosage book. also they have practice tests on the nursing section in atlas. I am trying to solve them I am also buying my books used trough amazon I found books like 45 dollars cheaper than the book store. the lab diagnostic I got it brand new for 9.48

random question but I see your screen name is Charlotte and I recognized you at orientation, did you take a speech class at Seminole state? Lol pretty sure we had class together

Hey Guys!

Congrats to everyone for making it into Fall 2015! Did anyone else figure out exactly what to bring the first day of class(8-31-15 @9:00 in 4-120)? I remember it was the syllabus, and the calendar.... anything else? BTW- Team Red, anyone else!?

I went to the bookstore today to purchase the Lab Kit and the Fundamentals of Nursing books (I guess they are using a different book all together this semester, and they aren't in yet). I guess from what I understood, is that the Lab Kits aren't in yet, and they are dispensed in class (if I remember from orientation). You can buy them online when online bookstore opens on the 31st, but if purchasing with Financial aid, you must wait till the 5th of August. I guess the new Fundamentals Bundle is about $336!

All the other books I was able to purchase on AbeBooks.com, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble without having to pay insane bookstore prices!

There is so much to get done, buy, and prepare for! It's nerve-wracking! Outside of textbooks, uniforms, and med supplies; does anyone know if there is a required list of school supplies for classes??

Thanks in advance! Congrats again, everyone! We worked hard to get here!

They weren't very specific about the first day of class, I also remember them saying that everyone is meeting in 4-120 including students who are at Osceola campus and to bring the calendar and syllabus. Do you know where we can get the calendar and syllabus? I've also started buying my books a lot cheaper online on different sites. Much cheaper than the book store I'm sure. I am on the red team also í ½í±í ¼í¿¼
