Valencia College!

Published

Hello everybody, I applied to valencia's traditional nursing program about 5 weeks ago now. I know the website says it takes about 8 weeks for them to review your app, I was wondering if anyone knows how long does it really take? I am getting so impatient!!

Hello! It took them 7 weeks to send me the acceptance letter! I was going crazy😱. I applied on the end of May and got accepted for the spring 2016. Just be patient, which I know is not easy. Good luck!

Ah that makes me so excited! I applied in early June, so hopefully I won't be too much longer. The anticipation is killing me lol

I'm sure you'll get your acceptance letter very soon!

I was contemplating on attending Valencia College, I guess u am not sure which school right now.

Quick question did you take your pre requisite at VC. The cost of the nursing program is cheaper than the LPN program at Cambridge Allied Health. So I may just go to Valencia after all. I do not need any other debt.

If I do attend VC Nursing program it would have to be in 2016, after we purchase a home.

I am excited for you and would love to hear about your Nursing Journey at VC!

I feel like we were in the exact same situation! I had gone through everything to start at Cambridge for the LPN program but the day before orientation I backed out because I didn't feel right paying SO much for just my LPN. And I actually took my Prereqs at Keiser. It was expensive, but I was done within a semester. It put me like 5,000 in debt. (Worth it in my opinion because I finished micro, anatomy 1&2 in one semester) then I had to take nutrition and was able to apply as soon as I was done! Honestly I wouldn't pay those crazy prices at Cambridge for only your LPN.

Where did you receive your letter? Was it in Atlas email?

Thanks for your input. I wish you much success and am looking at attending VC. Cambridge is entirely to expensive. Also the benefit of going to VC is you can always go to UCF to get your BSN.

I agree! You can do better than Cambridge. $20,000 for an LPN degree?? No thank you lol good luck at Valencia, I love it there, and hopefully you make it into their nursing program!

It took about 9 weeks, but I just got the email I got in for Spring 2016!!!! I am so excited!

Congrats, paramedic90! Will be starting this spring together! They have sent me an email about the mandatory orientation in November! It's getting more real now!
