Valencia College Summer 2020

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for anyone who’s applying for the traditional nursing program at Valencia for the summer :)! That way we can give one another updates, or anyone with helpful tips who ALREADY got admitted for spring!

Yes. For Valencia.
I never received any email either about a Zoom class. The last email was what everyone accepted to Summer receive Ed. That being Summer postponed until Fall. I just learned a few hours ago about this Zoom Track. Just confirmed a minute ago it is the traditional track

I thought it was moved to Fall, I don’t see how it’s fair for those who have to wait ?

It’s probably the first 80 who applied. They were probably waitlisted from fall or Spring originally and instead of having to push them off farther, it’s fair.

I haven’t heard anything since orientation was cancelled

Right! I feel as though this wouldn’t be a s big of a deal to many if the department would just give some type of update.

There hasn’t been any type of communication what so ever.

Hey I’m in nursing 2, from my understanding only resequencing students are taking N1 right now! That includes students that took nursing 1 in Spring, and those that were waiting to resequence.

I applied early August 2019 for the Spring program. I was pushed until Summer and was admitted. Now pushed to Fall 2021. Hardly fair...

I’m not trying to put out any misinformation out there. We all have enough anxiety right now. But I actually talked to the girl myself. Never had any nursing before and she was pushed off until fall and then an e-mail was sent to her about the zoom class. It is Nursing 1, Valencia and traditional track.

What the heck! ? I’ve applied last year in August. Why didn’t everyone who got postponed to Fall get an email. It sucks but I guess everything happens for a reason.

I’m also in the traditional track and didn’t receive any email! That’s so weird
