Valencia College Spring 2016

Hello everyone,

I know it may be a little early but who will be applying to Valencia's nursing program for spring 2016? I will be submitting my application next week and I just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone submitted their application already!

Has anybody had to an appeals process for financial aid? I am starting it today because this is my second degree. Do we just have to write a letter? It says to supply documentation but i am not sure what type of documentation I could turn in?

I'm submitting mine tomorrow but you have to email the health science advising office to request an educational plan. Email them and they'll know exactly what you're talking about. Once you receive the plan, turn it in with the form.

How do you know if you have to appeal your financial aid? Im finishing my AA, ending this semester, and just wondering if I'll have the same issue come January.

Call the financial aid office and have them check but you have to appeal for financial aid of you have over 90 credit hours I think.

I was unsure also, so I just took a quick trip up to Valencia one morning to the answer center and asked how my financial aid looked, and she told me right away all I needed to do was the appeal for having too many credit hours!

Okay I'll email advising today. How long did it take for them to get you your educational plan? And what email did you send it to?

They took a few days which was annoying. Read the sap form carefully because you have to submit a statement with the form which I didn't know.

Yeah they always take awhile lol I am trying to get everything done before next week! It's almost orientation time!!

I emailed them Monday about my educational plan and didn't hear anything back yet so I emailed again and got a reply that the advisor will be out until Monday. Great. Hopefully I can get everything in on time! I'm nervous now. Isn't the deadline Novmeber 13th? Which is next Friday!!
