Hey everyone! I just applied to the Valencia college traditional ASN nursing program. Hoping to start Spring of 2020. Just wanted to create this thread for those of us who are applying right now after summer semester. Supposed to hear back 6-8 weeks from now. Let’s update each other with our acceptance letters and any questions we may have during the wait ?

Got in for daytime traditional at west campus❤️
For those who got waitlisted, just be patient. I got waitlisted as well for Fall when I applied in April. They may also offer you guys a seat still if someone declines their spot. I heard that Some people for Fall got offered a seat after getting waitlisted. We have until November 4th to accept or decline our seats. So maybe they will offer some more seats after that?

Thank you ❤️
Congratulations who everyone who got in! I will see all of you guys at orientation! I'm a current student who's in Nursing 2 about to go to Nursing 3 who volunteers at the new student orientations! If you got waitlisted, you still have a possibility of getting into the program! I got waitlisted, and two days later they called me saying they had a spot! (back in march) I started over the summer! Everything was so last minute! To get prepared for orientation, bring at least $300.00 cash or check. There will be a lot of purchases being made! In between scrub tops and bottoms, and community tops and bottoms. Your lab kit, stethoscope, BP cuff, watch, penlight, shears, socks, shoes and more! You'll need your lab kit and community uniform for the first week of school. From this point on here on out, get yourself in GO mode. Practice dosage starting now, because they expect you to know it when you get in. Practice your dosage bootcamp, and learn your abbreviations and conversions. You'll possibly need a rolling bookbag. I used to laugh at people who had one before and now look at me! Working full time will be hard. You'll possibly have to drop down to 1-2 days a week. In between now and orientation date (November 15th) try and get your immunizations paperwork. You'll also have to pay $160-$180 for Castlebranch, a third party company that keeps track of your immunizations, drug tests, Fit mask testing, and background check. When you get to orientation ask for me! Jenna! If you need anymore questions or help go ahead and message me! Good luck everyone! I hope this helped. :)

Thanks so much for all that information!! What textbook do you recommend for studying dosage? I think I read on another thread that someone recommended Dimensional Analysis for Meds on Amazon.
