Valencia College Nursing - Summer 2019

Published

Happy Wednesday, nursing hopefuls!

I have yet to find a thread for Valencia College's applicants to the Summer 2019 programs, so I figured I'd start one to see who else is out there! The priority deadline just passed (yesterday, Jan. 15th), so now the long wait begins!

Has anyone else out there applied for upcoming seats in the Traditional, Accelerated, or Concurrent programs? I'd love some company in the long journey toward application results!

Hi I applied in August for traditional track and was put on the wait list, so I am eager to find out if I get in for the summer.

Geez, that's a long wait! I bet you're anxious to get through this application cycle! I applied for Summer in November. I hope that was early enough. ?

Did you apply for days, nights/weekends, or both?

I also applied around November for the day time program. 3.1 GPA, 80.3 on the TEAS. I like that the application is rolling, it makes things less stressful. I also am applying at SSC, it's my first choice! Good luck everyone!

I applied for daytime Osceola for preference. I know a couple that got wait listed that applied in July for the spring time also. I wish they were able to let us know where we stood. Good luck to y’all!

Good luck to you on both applications! When is the window for SSC?

I think the rolling application is great, considering you can apply whenever you've squared away their requirements. The wait seems like eons, though. ? I'm also tossing around the idea of applying to UCF 's Second Degree BSN (their accelerated post-bacc RN program). I believe their app window isn't until May, so it depends on how this process goes.

Thanks! Good luck to you! I also applied to daytime with the Osceola preference! It's a much better commute. At the info session, they said there are fewer seats for Osceola, but having the full program at that campus is still a fairly new offering. Maybe it'll work out in our favor, lol. ?

Wow, July? That seems so early to get waitlisted. I hope everyone gets some resolution soon!

The window ends tomorrow Friday Jan 18. It's a paper application that must be submitted on any of the 3 campus.

I haven't heard of that program. I'll have to look it up.

Specializes in Multisystem ICU, CCRN.

Hey! I made an account just to make a thread like this for us Summer 2019 students and you already made one! :) I applied back in December 17th but they didn't receive my payment until the 3rd of January. They're supposed to be rolling out admission acceptance letters and decisions sometime around February 15th. I did some research and orientation is usually the first week of March, (usually the 9th). Anyone else here applying for the west campus? We can also make a Facebook group page for everyone who gets accepted. Good luck to you all! ?

Haha, we had the same idea! Nice to meet ya! ?

I had been looking for a Summer 2019 thread since November, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to get it started! My application was started on Nov. 20th and was officially submitted on Nov. 28th. I applied right after taking the TEAS, but there was a delay in processing because the Assessment Center had entered all of my section scores, but forgot the composite score.

I wonder why it took so long for them to process the payment? The winter break, right?

Good reconnaissance, lol. I hope you're right about the decision timeline; not too much longer now. Best of luck! ?

Hello,

I applied in December 2018 for the nursing traditional program- days. I went to the nursing office back in December and was told by a gentleman in the office that the summer was almost full at that point, so I expect to get waitlisted for the Fall of 2019. I've read so many people's comments who applied in May and got waitlisted til Spring 2019. Here's to waiting with you all! Good luck to everyone!
