has anyone even heard if the VA anywhere in northern california will be hiring new grads? I can't find any information. Thanks!

i called a few days ago and one of the nurse recruiters said they are still going through all the applications and that it could take 2-3 weeks. they got about 650 applications.

I got an email today that my application meets the requirements and I will get a call for an interview if they wish to interview me.

If they take u on a tour around the unit after the interview, is that a good sign? Or is it just part of the formal interview process? I was interviewed at iicu

I interviewed for Oncology/Tele and Med-Surg/Tele at VA Palo Alto. They said they were hiring 4 people for those 2 units and they were interviewing a total of 11. I am not sure what the break-down was for the other units: mental health, ICU, etc. Good luck everyone!

eek! I interviewed in the rehab unit. and they said only 10 new grads hired for the entire program. and that names need to be submitted to the recruiter by sept 4. because the program is starting in october. they seem to be moving pretty fast this time around.
