VA - 12 Hour Shifts?

Do VA nurses work 12 hour shifts? It is hospital or unit specific? Does anyone know what type of shifts house supervisors work?

It is hospital & unit specfic. The VA I worked at the ER & ICU where the only ones who worked 12 hour shifts execpt the nursing supervisors who worked 12 hours on the weekend and holidays. I know of other VA's where most of the inpatient staff works 8's and others that work 12's.

Its pretty much unit specific. In my ER most of us work 12's with one extra 8 in a two week period. But others I know work 8's and a few work two 8's and two 12's.
