hi...in early feb i applied for a va nurse clinic job and last week i got email notification my name was sent to a selecting officer who may or may not contact me for an interview. I know this is very early in the hiring process but i cant help but get my hopes up. Is this a good sign that i will be called for an interview or is this just an email they basically send out to everyone that applies? Any advice would be great...thnx:confused:

It's a good thing.. You still have a long way to go but at least you know they have recieved your application! If/when you are selected make sure you fill out everything they email or send you and get it back to them ASAP...(keeping copies for youself) You also might want to order your official transcripts now. Just dont open them!
ok i will...thanks

That letter is sent to everyone that applies. You've probably already received the second letter by now that will let you know if you'll get the opportunity for an interview. The application process is long but it's worth it. Good Luck!

I was just wondering over all how long is long? I am in the VALOR program and really want to work for the VA once I graduate.
Thanks
