Sure, happy to: 4.0 GPA in undergrad, 3.99 Natural World/pre-req GPA, 6,500+ hours clinical experience as a Registered Medical Assistant & Phlebotomist and managing a nonprofit medical clinic in rural eastern Washington. Rec letter written by a Nurse Practitioner colleague. Let me know if there's anything else that's helpful to share ?

Thanks for sharing this!! I had a 3.96 undergrad GPA and had my recommendation written by a NP I shadowed. I unfortunately only had 200-300 clinical hours. That’s amazing how many clinical hours you had! This definitely provided some insight and closure so I really appreciate you sharing!! Congrats again ?

Does anyone know from previous years how far they usually work through the waitlist?

Honestly I wasn't expecting to get in at all, so to have them waitlist me makes me much more optimistic about other schools.

I was looking through the past few forums and it looks like about 16 or 17 in the past couple of years! Not sure if those are the actual numbers though.

Sure thing! I was accepted with a 3.72 undergrad GPA (health science ad biology) and had my recommendation written by a physician who is my current supervisor. During undergrad I completed about 10 months of clinical experience as a patient care associate/ nursing assistant at a major urban hospital working on a cardiac care unit and interned at a major hospital as a clinical research intern on chronic pain studies and interned at a community health center as a health promotion intern focusing on social determinants of health. After undergrad, I have been working for about a year and a half as a clinical research coordinator in neurology and have 2 scientific publications. Let me know if I can answer any questions if helpful!

Congrats to everyone for working so hard! I was also accepted ? I had a 3.95 GPA and a 3.7ish natural world GPA. I also had around 400 patient contact hours while working as an emt and HCA and had 150 volunteer hours working as a bilingual crisis counselor. I also had numerous other community service experience which also counted as direct patient contact. It was also helpful that I’ve struggled with chronic illnesses and caught severe covid on the job so my personal statements were pretty intimate about being on the receiving side of nursing care. I spearheaded research about racial bias in health care in adolescents bc of those experiences and I’ve also been published 3 times. I’ve also been active on a few project advisory boards. My letter of rec was from my co-author/psych professor. Hope this helps!

Hey there. Thanks for starting this thread, and for all the comments. Wow, so many of you are doing such a variety of great work. I hope to meet you next year!

I was accepted to the waitlist ?

Does anyone know how many applications were submitted, and how many people in the waitlist there are?

Hi, all! I’ve been accepted as well. Congratulations to ALL of us though, because this is such a stressful ride and a lot of hard work!

For those who were accepted, is anyone interested in creating a facebook group or something so we can kind of get to know one another a bit more?
