Hi everyone!
Starting a thread for UW Seattle ABSN applicants 2022. I hit "submit" on my application yesterday, so excited to have it complete! How is everyone preparing for the proctored essay?
Best of luck,
Kayla
We won't update you on movement unless you are admitted into the program. We will notify you via email if you are admitted off the waitlist and will then change your application status to reflect that, so it will show on your actual application when you sign in. If you are curious where you stand, you can always reach out to us, but the most movement doesn't usually happen until around May, when students hear back from other schools. So you can always check back in then ? We might put a message on your HOME page that indicates the number we just admitted, but I'd hate for you to continue checking everyday when we won't have too much movement until the Spring, so just keep that in mind.
Hi! Thanks for starting the FB group. I sent a request to join, but I realize my profile looks a little sketchy. I recently deleted my FB so I had to make a new account to join the ABSN group and there's nothing on my page at all so it might look like I'm a random creeper ?. Just wanted to let you know!
Ooooh, I wish I found this thread in October! I was also accepted into the UW ABSN 2022 cohort and am so excited for the Fall. Congratulations to everyone who applied--I genuinely can't wait to learn with those of you who'll be starting with me in September.
Did anyone else apply for the ABSN with early DNP acceptance? Having one answer but not the other is a weird limbo place to be in, I swear I've been refreshing my email every minute of January thus far.
5 minutes ago, Grace ABSN Candidate said:Congrats, Anna! I would have loved to do early DNP acceptance but since it isn't yet offered for the Psych DNP specialty at UW, I'll be applying separately. Fingers crossed for you! Look forward to meeting in Sept.

Thank you, Jade! Ooooh, good luck with the Pysch DNP application when you apply. I was lucky that the APRN specialty I'm passionate about (Nurse-Midwifery) had the early DNP acceptance option. We'll see what happens!

I'm sorry to say I don't know but I'm thinking they may not handle it exactly the same way, year to year. This may be a good question to direct to the UW Nursing School info line. Good luck!
