UW BSN 2020

Published

I am hoping to start a thread for University of Washington’s BSN program for Fall 2020.

Is anyone else applying to the traditional BSN after being rejected or waitlisted for the ABSN? What are your strategies in improving your application this time around?

I am currently waitlisted for the ABSN, and having just completed my BS, I have my heart set on that program. But through the application process I realized that I would rather do two years of school at UW than do an ABSN anywhere else. I look forward to getting to know you all better in this process. Good luck to all the applicants!

They don't provide anything other than the questions! They expect you to know how to solve them for a reason.

Hey guys! What did you get for your answers to the math questions on the proctored essay?

I have been waiting for someone to break the ice on this subject! I think it’s late enough in the day that everyone who took the proctored exam is finished, right?

I don’t remember the units involved, but I got 1.2, 200, and 16. The math questions were a lot harder than on the ABSN, in my opinion! But I was better prepared this time.

I have never felt so defeated before in my life. I studied so much in the days leading up to today, but I did so poorly on tonight’s essay. I don’t think I’ll receive an acceptance letter this year

I got the same answers!

Does anybody how much they weigh in the dosage calculation portion?

I remember talking to Adrian last year, and he told me that as long as we don't get all of the math questions wrong, it’s ok.

I don’t remember the units either, but I also got 1.2, 200, and 16 for the math!

How are you guys remembering the numbers? ? Best luck to everyone, at least it's over right!

Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like the answers are the same as last years questions. I went on the thread for the 2019 BSN and the answers seem the same

@brendamatadiaz hey brenda, i looked at the 2019 forum too and yeah it looks like we got the same exact test, and someone also wrote about the patients we had too. that's so strange they would use the same exact test this year.

Hey guys, i also got the same answers for the math! I missed the second question though.

Which patient did you guys write about?

@G9780 I picked the infant who was brought in by their mother but doesn’t speak English, but the 11 year old daughter does.

Hi Everyone!

I have heard before that we have to get 2/3 correct on the dosage calculations portion in order for our application to be considered. Does anyone know if this true? Can you miss two and still be considered?

Congrats to everyone making it this far and best of luck :)
