UTSW Residency Winter 2021

Hello everyone!

Thought I would start s UTSW residency thread since I haven't seen one yet! Starting this for everyone who has applied or is planning to. 

Anyone had their interview yet? If so, how did it go?

I had mine and thought it went pretty well. There were definitely a couple of responses that I could've used better examples. However, there were some questions that I absolutely nailed. I thought that 60 min was going to feel like a lifetime, but it went pretty quickly. They were really kind and welcoming. So, I felt pretty at ease for most of the interview. 

My advice is to really think about meaningful or interesting patient interactions/care.

I'm really sorry. That super sucks. I still haven't heard back from a few places. Don't get discouraged.

From UTSW* is what I meant. I've heard back from other places just not UTSW.

Congrats! I find this interesting, since I interview for them on Friday ? we will see

I was told I wouldn’t get a response back until 11/9 so I was surprised when I got the call/email yesterday!

I guess if I haven't heard anything by now I should assume I'm not in the running anymore ?
