UTMB Spring 2016

Published

Howdy! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2016, so I figured I would start my own. I'm having trouble with this whole application thing (mostly stress!), so I would love to talk to others going through this same process!

My interview is June 22 at 1pm :) Congrats on your interview as well!

I received my mystar information April 28th, but I also submitted my NursingCas application about a month before the deadline

Okay my interview is June 25th at 10am! You'll have to let me know what to expect!

Hello! I'm super nervous about my application. My GPA is kind of low (3.1), but I made an 92% on the TEAS V. Does anyone know if UTMB looks at volunteer/job experience? I have a friend from UT who got accepted for Fall 2015 with a 3.0 GPA...and a pretty good score on the TEAS V (I'm guessing 80-90%).

Thanks!

By chance has anyone who interviewed 2weeks ago received a decline or acceptance? It's probably too soon for decisions but thought I would ask.

I think you have a great chance with such high TEAS scores! I've heard your personal statement plays a big role also so hopefully you listed your volunteer/job experience there.

Congrats and good luck on your interview! I also submitted my NursingCas app early however I had a couple setbacks with NursingCas not entering one of my transcripts and UTMB listing me under the wrong application semester :-/ Everything should be in place now though.

How did your interview go???

My interview went perfect! Everyone there is so nice and friendly. It was very casual, not any hard questions. The lady I interviewed with mainly asked me about my personal statement and my study habits. The interview lasted about 20-30 minutes. :)

Congrats! Did they give you a timeline when you would hear something? I forgot to ask. My interview was almost 2weeks ago.

They told me 2-4 weeks

I had an interview on the 12th and I haven't heard back either. This waiting game is nerve racking. Has anyone else that had an early interview heard back one way or another?
