UTMB Spring 2016

Howdy! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2016, so I figured I would start my own. I'm having trouble with this whole application thing (mostly stress!), so I would love to talk to others going through this same process!

Hi all!!

I applied for the 2015 fall semester and I got wait listed but I received conditional acceptance for the 2016 spring semester!!! I just wanted to say good luck to all of you and all of the pressure and waiting is totally worth it! NEVER GIVE UP AND HAVE FAITH!!! I hope I get to meet y'all! And I am also looking for a roommate for whoever gets accepted, and if I do not get off the wait list for the 2015 fall semester!

Science GPA: 3.2

Pre req GPA: 3.2

TEAS V

Level: Proficient

Adjusted Individual Total Score: 64.7%

Reading: 66.7%

Math: 70.0%

Science: 56.3%

Writing: 70.0%

They asked me to retake the TEAS to make my application more competitive and I was given 3 weeks to retake it!

TEAS V (retake)

Level: Advanced

Individual score: 79.3%

Reading: 76.2%

Math: 80.0%

Science: 79.2%

Writing: 86.7%

I also have one withdrawal, one withdrawal repeat, and 1 science class repeat. I repeated general biology which accounts for my elective science pre req and, I withdrew from statistics and retook it over the summer!

I just finished up spring semester and my GPA's now are a lot higher! But UTMB has not seen my new GPA's. I still have microbiology and history II to take over the summer to be fully completed with my pre reqs!

Did anyone else have to wait quite a while before NursingCas verified their information? I just feel like it is taking them a really long time and it is making me anxious !

Hey everyone! I just submitted my Application to NursingCAS, I had to wait until the end of this past spring 2015 semester to apply because I needed those credits to reach the 40 hours. I only have Micro and electives left to take. Plus I took the TEAS monday 5-18-15 because I wanted to use all the time I could studying for it. Do you guys think NursingCAS will have my application reviewed in time? I am nervous.

Hey everyone! My name is Ela, and My overall GPA is a 3.73, Science GPA is a 4.0, and My teas composite score is 72%. :( Let's just say i wasn't ready to stare at a computer screen for a long period of time. I was wondering if references are still required by UTMB? Because I heard they did not care at all. They just really want teas and gpa to be in before the deadline. Anyway, I hope I can get to know any of you!

@elavi They do not accept references. I went to their open house and that is what they said there. Your GPA is amazing!

This may sound a bit silly but where can we see our GPA once they have been verified. I got the email saying my info had been verified but when I download the PDF I can't seem to find where they would have calculated it at?

Hi everyone,

Like y'all I'm applying for the spring semester at UTMB, I've never used this nursingcas website. I'll be taking my TEAS V test on Saturday, do you think they'll be quick enough to get my stuff reviewed and sent out? Also did anyone put any other standardized test besides the TEAS V?

I received my UTMB supplemental application today!!! Although I still cannot figure out how to see my GPA, I have looked over my application multiple times and do not see them on there. If anyone has any insight on how I can get my GPA I would greatly appreciate it !!!

In cas select manage programs, program status, select blue button next to school name.

I did do that I know that is what your suppose to do but I do not see them listed and my information was verified yesterday morning so I am a little confused as to why I can't see them as posted, I may just have to call and ask NursingCas maybe there is a glitch
