Has anybody called and asked how Many people they are interviewing?

I was at the open house today and the dean of admissions said they will be accepting 80 for the traditional and 80 for the BACC2 for Spring 2011. She also said that the BACC2 had 700 applicants, but that seems a little high, so maybe she really meant for both programs? She said that when all is said and done, they will have interviewed about 200 for the BACC2, so I would imagine that they would interview about the same for the traditional if they are the same size. But it's not all 200 at once, they do it in rounds. Some drop out and some are denied, so the dean said you have a 50-75% chance of being accepted if you get an interview.

Also, she said that interviews will start Sept. 24, and you will get an email and letter stating that you're accepted, denied or waitlisted 3-4 weeks after the interview.

They also talked about this new computer system they will be using starting for the Fall 2011 applicants that will keep you updated on the status of your application, including when it's in review by admissions. Sounds like it will give people a lot less headaches in the future!

I know that the SON admissions committee is reviewing more applications today so if you haven't gotten an email yet maybe by the end of the week they will send out another round of emails!

no not yet but I am hoping that my application was in the group sent to the committee today. The waiting is always the hardest part.

Same here! I've been patiently waiting to hear from them. I hope to hear from them soon, I am like constantly checking my email to see if I've received an email from them.

I talked to utmb today and they said they have only sent out the first round of emails for interviews. So if you still haven't gotten one don't freak out. For those of us who have gotten emails, the interviews are coming up!! She said today or tomorrow they will be sending out a schedule for our interviews!! How exciting!!!

She said they are already started to sen out second round emails. As enrollment services sends them completed applications, they review it and then reply accordingly.

how are you getting all this info soo fast?? lol just curious i'm def thankful!!!

I talked to them this morning. They told me about sending out the other emails thinking I hadn't gotten one but I had and really just wanted to know when my interview would be scheduled. So they gave me extra information I didn't ask for or need.
