UTMB Spring/Summer 2019

Published

Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.

I know... doesnt make sense... but I talked to Elizabeth Botello and that's what she told me.

She even asked if I had applied anywhere else bc they haven't sent anything yet so it was probably from some place else..

Wait they havent started what? Interviews or acceptances? When i called, they said they were still reviewing NursingCAS apps. So confusing.

I think why they mean by that is that they're still reviewing nursingcas apps to send out more interview invitations, cause I think we're about to start the second/third round of interviews now?

I'm also wondering what they mean by 4-6 weeks, like from our interview or..? I don't know, maybe we're just stressing ourselves out right now by thinking too much into this LOL

I had my interview yesterday; it went really well! I am really touched by how nice and welcoming everyone is. The interview lasted for about an hour but it was very relaxed. If all interviews were like this, the world would be a better place lol.

I have another question, if no one minds. On NursingCas, the application said its strongly recommended that you have a resume, past volunteering experience, or work experience. I don't have any of those. Was anyone admitted or knew someone admitted to UTMB without having a resume, volunteering experience or work experience?

I would put together a resume and upload it to NursingCas. It helps them get a better picture of you. Do you have any extra-curriculum activities, hobbies?

Do they call the day before or anything to confirm the interview time you chose? I assume not but wanted to make sure. Mines in a couple hours and I haven't gotten anything

No, they did not confirm the interview.

I played soccer for my community college, but that's really about it. I volunteered at the hospital my dad worked at, but gosh that was so long ago, I don't remember when.

There you go! Just put all of it on the resume.

I suggest you do it! Even the smallest things!
