UTMB Galveston Spring 2021

I am going to apply to UTMB Galveston's spring 2021 program. I have a 3.7 overall GPA and a 3.9 prereq GPA. I'm taking the TEAS this Friday and was wanting know if anyone could tell me whether I'd be a competitive applicant. The only other thing I have is that I've worked at a doctor's office walking back patients, taking vitals, inputting and updating patients meds, etc. for about four years. I have looked at other threads for utmb and it seems most people who got in or at least were considered had higher gpas than I do. Also, does anyone know the wait period for retaking the UTMB for the TEAS? I'm having a hard time finding it.

I got my email about three hours ago that said I hadn't been accepted so they should start sending stuff out soon I would think if you haven't heard anything yet!

you guys I just checked and it says I have no active application, so that means they are reviewing my application ?

Hi everyone, I am currently a third semester student in the BSN program at UTMB. I currently live at the students apartments on ferry road and looking for a male student that may interested in moving to ferry road since I will be placed with an incoming male student this January. I would also be interested in a 3 bedroom if theres 2 guys looking, pending unit availably. If interested, call ferry road and mention you heard a guy looking for a roommate in building 810. Hey, I am currently on the waitlist, I was wondering if anyone else that was/is on the waitlist, has heard of anyone being removed and admitted?

I was on the waitlist and got a call on Thursday notifying me that I had been taken off and could begin in January

Well, that gives me hope! Did they email you as well? 

Also, do you feel comfortable sharing your stats?

I got an email a few days after they called. I believe they called because I had been accepted for Summer and had accepted my spot for that term so it was kind of a weird situation having to get my payment and what not switched over.

I got a 79 on my TEAS and my GPA was a 3.5

Oh okay yeah I see. Thank you for your input. I really appreciate it. 

I hope I end up getting a spot as well but I think my GPA is not strong.  

My stats are: GPA 3.3 TEAS 87.3.

I just got waitlisted for Summer too. Now I'm waiting for a spot for both. Congratulations on your acceptance!
