UTMB Galveston Spring 2021

I am going to apply to UTMB Galveston's spring 2021 program. I have a 3.7 overall GPA and a 3.9 prereq GPA. I'm taking the TEAS this Friday and was wanting know if anyone could tell me whether I'd be a competitive applicant. The only other thing I have is that I've worked at a doctor's office walking back patients, taking vitals, inputting and updating patients meds, etc. for about four years. I have looked at other threads for utmb and it seems most people who got in or at least were considered had higher gpas than I do. Also, does anyone know the wait period for retaking the UTMB for the TEAS? I'm having a hard time finding it.

In my eyes I would think so (I’m one of the bunch). If they’ve already waitlisted people that would mean a majority of the seats were taken by people who received admission (s) and those who are waitlisted are those who are eyeing if spots open up, no?

Same! ? I think this happened to some people during the first wave too and they said that they received an email the next day informing them of their status

Was it always a denial email or did this happen to people that got in too??

I believe some of those people got in as well

It happened to me. I asked someone that it happened to for the first wave and they told me that their application wasnt even considered because they didn't submit the supplemental application.  So that their application got pulled and thats why it doesnt show up anymore

I did as well, but the person said that if it doesnt show up it is because it got pulled and it not going to be considered. That something disqualified us.

I thought earlier someone said some of the people that it disappeared from still got accepted? Did that happen to anyone earlier?

I just typed up a long email and I sent it to one of the SON admins. I’ll keep you guys updated. I asked for clarification on the matter because it’s happened to multiple of us and we didn’t even receive and email for justification. Hopefully she responds soon ?
