UTMB Galveston Spring 2021

I am going to apply to UTMB Galveston's spring 2021 program. I have a 3.7 overall GPA and a 3.9 prereq GPA. I'm taking the TEAS this Friday and was wanting know if anyone could tell me whether I'd be a competitive applicant. The only other thing I have is that I've worked at a doctor's office walking back patients, taking vitals, inputting and updating patients meds, etc. for about four years. I have looked at other threads for utmb and it seems most people who got in or at least were considered had higher gpas than I do. Also, does anyone know the wait period for retaking the UTMB for the TEAS? I'm having a hard time finding it.

Congratulations!  I'm currently on the waitlist and just received the nursing clearance email to complete background check.  Did you receive this when you were on the waitlist the first time?

I did complete a background check the first time I was on the waitlist. They said it was in case I got moved off they wanted me to have it all done. Good luck!

Does anyone else still just say complete? Or knows if there's another wave getting sent out or if they already sent them?

Mine still says complete and there is another wave I just do not know when they will let us know

At least there's another wave!! I was getting worried they'd sent out all the acceptances already

Hey Folks! Congratz to those who have gotten their acceptances! And to those still waiting or on the waitlist, hang in there! I have several friends in the program who were pulled from the waitlist! I'm actually a 4th semester student right now, planning to graduate and move off the island in December. I currently live in a little house that is walking distance from campus and the beach with a month to month lease that will be available starting in January! If you or someone you know is looking for a place to live on the island DM me and ill be happy to give you some more info!

I think all of us got acceptances on the 18th. I have heard of a few people coming off the waitlist but nothing else. Good luck!
