Btw, there is the ATI TEAS entrance exam for FALL 2010.

Anyone taken it yet?

I can't seem to find the registration for it in the atitesting.com.

were you missing something from the application?

maybe your AP credit was 5 years ago?

I heard some school don't accept some credits made over 5 years

I don't know about UTMB

This is what I got from the FAQ page:

What information will the School of Nursing consider when reviewing files for admission?

The school considers three GPA’s for the BSN program: Science, Prerequisite, and Overall. Your GPA is an important aspect of your application. The school also considers the number of withdrawals and failures on your transcripts. We also will look at your personal accomplishments, scholastic honors, leadership roles, hardships, cultural experiences, community service, and any extra curricular activities in which you have been involved. Your personal statement is another very important aspect of your application

I wish they could tell us why we got rejected

so at least we could try to improve it for next admission

lets just hope the best that in Fall we get accepted to a school of nursing

As sad as this is, I just wanted to inform you guys that I received a rejection letter from Utmb in the mail today. I'm so confused because I received an interview with UT-Houston but I'm not even getting that with Utmb. As upsetting as it is I will be awaiting the decision from UT and if that doesn't work out I'll apply to some last minute community colleges. Whatever it takes.

My Gpa's are

3.75 Science

3.72 Prereq

3.05 overall

I ranked in the top 90% on teas

I have 9 W's from the past 8 years, that's the only thing I can think it is.

Your science, pre-req, TEAS grades are slightly better than mine. :uhoh21: Did your status show up online, too, or did you just receive a letter? I've been checking my e-connect and it still just says pending.

Anyone have any idea what we might be asked in our interview? This is my first one and I have no idea what to expect!

I also received a letter in the mail Saturday basically saying thanks for applying but we don't want you. lol

Like skygurl, I thought I would get an interview because I got one for UT-Houston. But I have a few Ws from the past so it's possible that UTMB takes them more seriously while UT-Houston gives you a chance in your interview to explain why you have them...

Wow that's crazy! I was told there was around 300 applicants they will admit 100 and interview 200.... I wonder if that 200 also includes the people applying for the BACC and traditional or just the traditional.....

Not sure. I'm curious too. The last I was told wa that my application was sent to the admissions committee and I should hear something by March 15th.

March 15? Wow that's only a few days away. I'm still just so anxious to hear from UTMB. I keep checking me email constantly and praying that I don't get any bad mail. A girl in one of my classes received an acceptance letter in the mail already. She said she got early acceptance and got to bipass the whole interview thing. Have any of you guys received an acceptance letter?

Has anyone received an email with another interview date?

How did she get accepted without an interview? Never heard of that! My interview is Friday I have not heard anyone say any other date.
