Hey y'all! I will be applying for UTMB SON for fall 2020! I couldn't find a forum for it, so I decided to start one! It is a little early but many of you know it take forever to gather everything needed for the application! Please post all of your questions, stats, etc. SO excited to apply in November!

So I got a 88.7 on my teas. So not like a super high grade. And as far as the personal statement I would try to emphasize why you want to be a nurse and why you believe you would be right for the profession. Also used it as a time to explain why maybe my grades at first were not the best. I think on NursingCAS they have prompts for the essay questions.

Thank you! So I actually submitted my app on the last day lol. So I don’t think that affects whether you get accepted or not.

I haven't heard about St. Thomas until you mentioned it. I looked it up, is it the 3 year program that you're referring to or is there an accelerated one as well?
unfortunately St. Thomas does not have a traditional BSN program that is accelerated ? I believe they said that they only had an accelerated program for RN-BSN program.
This doesn’t directly relate to the fall 2020 program, so I apologize in advance! I know a lot of people commute and or get apartments near school, but has anyone gone through the process of selling a home to move for school? I feel like I’m in a bad situation either way! If I sell way before I apply, then I run the risk of not getting in. If I wait and try to sell once I get in, then I could be really pressed for time. Which Id much rather have the time to get settled before school since I’d be moving from Pennsylvania.
