Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)
My stats are
TEAS:
82% Overall
-Reading: 85.1%
-Math: 87.5%
-Science: 78.7%
-English and Language Use: 75.0%
GPA: 3.9 Overall
No but I got emailed my new username for mystar today
@Panda651758 I got accepted on feb 27th and it told me I have until march 13th to accept/deny![/quoteWhen you paid the deposit fee, did you received an email after, other than the receipt? @ milanpandey16
Greetings all! I am seeking an advice. I just took TEAS yesterday; here are the results:
Overall 86
Reading 74.5
Math 96.9
Science 87.2
English 87.5
While taking the reading part, I did not pace myself correctly and ended up running out of time before I was able to complete last 4-5 questions. Now I am contemplating if I should retake the test just to boost my reading score.
If it was you, would you retake it considering the good performance on other parts of the test and overall score?

Hello, are you applying for fall 2018? Cause it's way passed dealine.

Overall 84.7
Reading 73
Math 94
Science 92
English 79
I asked the advisor at utmb if she recommended me to retake it and she said no that it was a good score! Your scores are better so I would say keep it! Unless it's falling bugging you. Mine does but I don't wanna go through stress again lol.
Thanks for the feedback.
That's good to know! I am applying for Spring 2019, but I wanted to post here since the topic is very active. I think I'll retake it next week since that reading score is bugging me. I hate to spend another $100 though...
However, I am also applying for UH and there someone said that the minimum is 75 for each section (apparently).
Hello UTMB Fall of 2018 students!
I recently got my "conditionally accepted" letter from UTMB for Fall 2018! The deadline to respond is March 13 by midnight, and to reserve a seat, we have to pay $200 non-refundable deposit. However, what if I am waiting for my acceptance letter to another school (UTHealth)? I think I won't know if I got accepted to it until this summer! Can I get my $200 back if I choose UTHealth over UTMB? Does anyone have the same problem?
Thank You!

Hey friends! I had my interview yesterday and wanted to give yall some info on it. The professor interviewing me was SO nice and really made me feel comfortable. She had a specific set of interview questions to ask - know about your personal statement and the reason you chose your specific topic, and just be familiar with the nursing profession in general, what they do, challenges they face, etc. Also will ask about your study habits and how you plan to handle the crazy couresload of nursing school!
I found out yesterday I was accepted to UTHealth, so I have some decisions to make if I am accepted into UTMB as well! Hope this helps.
