UTMB Fall 2018

Published

Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)

My stats are

TEAS:

82% Overall

-Reading: 85.1%

-Math: 87.5%

-Science: 78.7%

-English and Language Use: 75.0%

GPA: 3.9 Overall

well i mean, do we need to resend the transcripts to nursingcas to be able to get reverified if we are reapplying for spring 2019? or no? at this moment the transcripts i sent for fall 2018 are updated.

if it's the same as last time then no you don't have to get them sent again

I'm applying here and Texas State Round Rock!

Also, this isn't huge but my MyStar now has the classes I need to complete under "To Do" :)

What classes? Mine doesn't show that D:

If you don't mind me asking when did you submit your app?

I would make sure with utmb just to be sure.

My stats:

TEAS overall: 81.3

Math: 96.9

Reading: 85.1

English: 79.2

Science: 68.1

Science GPA and Overall GPA are both 2.75 according to nursingcas -- I've attended Baylor and ACC

I left Baylor after my sophomore year because I failed anatomy twice and I couldn't continue with a nursing degree there so I retook it at ACC and I've been taking other classes to try to boost my GPA since. I just got my EMT-B and I'm currently in pharmacology. I know it seems like kind of a long shot, but since they do personal statements and interviews I feel like I have a decent shot. I haven't been comfortable posting my stats before now since all of y'all have scores so much higher than me.

I have read that it is a good sign when your To Do list changes. When did you submit your app?

Don't be ashamed and don't give up on your dreams!

did anybody else's "to do" items change to the rest of their prereqs/what does this mean

I only have biology left and I am taking it now. I put that I had enrolled for it on my transcript. But it's not showing on my to do's. Earlier another girl mentioned it earlier too.

I completed all my pre reqs so nothing is showing up on mine either. I'm also taking patho and intro to nursing to apply to Texas Tech nursing

Mine has not changed either, and I have the last 2 in progress. I'm wondering if it goes by when the app was submitted. I didn't submit until a few days before the deadline.

Same here I submitted mine about a week before the deadline

I finished all my classes, so nothing showed up on mines.
