UTMB FALL 2015

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello everyone! I think it's finally time for someone to start a fall thread so here it goes. I am applying to UTHSC and UTMB for fall semester. I gave my teas test today and idk if that score is good enough or not. My GPA is 4.0 and teas individual score is 81. How did everyone else do in their test?

Hi!

I'm applying to UTMB and UTHSC.

I'm taking my TEAS tomorrow and sending out my application in a few days!

I was wondering how long did it take for nursingcas to receive your transcripts?

I was waiting for this semester to end so my grades could be on it but I found out the offices are closed and I won't be able to send them out till Jan 5! So I'm freaking out a little!

Goodluck to all!:)

accidentally replied to someone as a new post lol sorry new to this

I used the ati book, quizlet, and random websites that helped me get a better understanding of the concepts I didn't understand. For me the hardest part was time management esp in the reading portion. My advice is practice practice and practice! The math is straight from the ati its not hard, you just have to keep track of your time! Science was all over the place so just try to get a good understanding of all the topics and grammar was like the ati book just know the rules. My best advice is don't go in freaked out cause I did and I had to rush everything. You'll do great :)

Hello Future Nurses!

I am also applying to UTMB for fall 2015. With the Christmas holidays - many registrar offices are closed until early January. The timeline for application was stressing me out as well. As long as you have submitted your application to Nursing CAS by January 15 and have ordered transcripts - your application for UTMB should be fine.

I ordered my previous transcripts in early December and it seems to take Nursing CAS about 10 days to post them as received. The registrar's office at my current college was wonderful and agreed to mail my transcript with this semester's grades on Friday, December 19 which was their last working day. I hope NCAS receives by end of year and everything is verified by mid-January. Then - I can just stress out over the wait!

Happy holidays to all.

This makes me feel a lot better! I submitted my application yesterday and was worried about them "verifying" everything before jan 15th.

I do have a question if anyone knows the answer. A few of my pre-req's I took at a community college but all were transferred and are included on my undergrad university transcript. Do I still need to send a transcript from the community college or will they accept that they are on my other one?

Hi Imhales, I would send one from the community college so it's official. I had the same situation on my university transcript and it just says that # of credits were transferred from the community college I attended but did not show the grades or credit amount received. NursingCAS requires a transcript from all coursework and school attended

Thanks! The schools closed until jan 5th but I plan to go in person to help expidite that transcript. Hoping that if its at least recieve by the deadline, it'll be ok. Thanks again :)

Yea I called NursingCAS and they said long it's received by the deadline it's fine. I would just call them if it gets close to the deadline and you still haven't received any notification about it.

Hey guys I got an email that said NursingCas received my transcript, does anyone know how long will it take for them to send supplement question?

You won't receive the supplemental application until you submit your NursingCAS application. I think they states it takes about 2 weeks to receive the supplemental application from UTMB.

I submitted the application before even sending the transcript. So I guess i'll have to wait for 2 weeks then. Did anyone receive their supplement questions?

Hi everyone

I just submitted my NursingCAS application. Jittery. These are my stats.. I hope I have a good chance! :S

Prerequisite GPA - 3.8

Science GPA - 3.63

TEAS - 86.7

I thought my personal statement was good? I don't know...
