UTMB Fall 2013

Hello! I searched the site and seen no one made a topic about the people trying to enter in Fall 2013 so here is it :up: I am applying to UTMB for Fall 2013. I've written my personal statement and filled in the application. Now i'm waiting on nursing CAS to receive all my transcripts and to take my TEAS test on Jan. 8. I'm so nervous. How is everyone else coming along?

I received my acceptance email on May 30th. I was so confused about wether to accept or deny my offer. I decided that there were a lot of people out there who were SO passionate about getting in, that I would deny my offer to allow someone on the waiting list to get my spot. However, I wish I hadn't denied it because I just want to start school already! So I'm trying to get my offer back so I can accept it this time. My hopes aren't too high, but we'll see. Hopefully they're nice about it. If not, I'll be re-applying. Good luck to everyone who hasn't heard back yet!

I'm confused are u saying u denied ur acceptance to UTMB because other people wanted to get in??? And if thts what ur saying were u accepted to another schools program? I'm so confused lol

Wow and if I got denied and wanted to get into utmb spring I wouldn't even have the time if the application period for spring ends in july..no time to study for teas or anything...& if someone were to reapply , would y'all suggest writing a new personal statement ?

I denied my acceptance to UTMB because I have two pre-reqs left to complete and didn't think I could complete them. I would rather go to a school in Houston, but my GPA wasn't competitive enough for them so I didn't apply. I was going to apply to the Houston schools for Spring 2014. In my heart of hearts, Houston would be a better fit for me. So I thought, "let the people who are dying to go to this school in Galveston get your spot." It made sense at the time. I was scared to live in Galveston where I don't know anyone. So UTMB was the only school I applied to, and that is why I'm trying to get back in. I hope that makes sense. I was trying to be wise, but it back-fired on me. I hopefully will get an answer back tomorrow, so fingers crossed. :up:

According to these stats, I'm definitely not getting in. I haven't checked on nursing cas for the OFFICIAL thing but I think mine is 3.6 overall GPA. 3.4 science, 76% overall on teas and 60% on the science section. I'M S.C.R.E.W.E.D.

My science GPA was actually a 3.01 when I applied. My science GPA is a 3.5 now because I retook a class.

It's ok, we all make mistakes...faith has a way of directing us to where were destined to be, through our mistakes sometimes. U may still get in or next semester may be accepted into the Houston school of ur dreams

hopefully! maybe i should call just to verify the date hasn't been pushed back to NEXT Friday ,, did anyone else wake up with their phone in their hand to check their email first and foremost this morning lol ...anyone?...everyone..? just me..? o ok... lol
