For those asking, my stats are not amazing, but this is my second time applying to this school, and I attached a resume to my application which I think helped. Anyway, GPA 3.395 overall 3.590 pre-requisite 3.750 science HESI Reading Comprehension 94.00% Grammar 90.00% Vocabulary & General Knowledge 88.00% Anatomy & Physiology 84.00% Math 92.00% Cumulative Score: 89.60% Learning Style/Personality Style Kinesthetic/Analytical, Creative/People Critical thinking: 850 Good luck to those who are still hanging in there!

I FINALLY received my transcript evaluation! 3.395 overall 3.590 nursing pre-requisite 3.750 science Not as great as some of the others I've seen, but considering my science GPA was a 2.9 the first time I applied to UTHSC, I still have something to look forward to. Fingers crossed we find out sooner rather than later.

Hi everyone! This is my third application to Nursing School. (UTHSC Spring 2013- denied, UTMB Fall 2013- accepted, but denied offer, and TWU Spring 2014- denied). Anyway, my to-do list is still showing items from the last time I applied, not this application period. I sent my transcripts before the deadline and UTH already has my HESI on file. Shouldn't I have an application status by now? Starting to get a little worried.. I emailed someone, but I'm not sure it was the right address. Any suggestions on what I should do? My stats, by the way: Pre-req: 3.5 Science: 3.5 (will be a 3.7 at the end of the month) HESI: overall 89% my lowest section was vocab I think and I got an 84% on A&P.

has anybody heard anything from admissions since the deadline passed? not an admissions decision, just any communication?

Was anyone else surprised at how basic the nursing school application was? It seriously took me two seconds to complete and I didn't get to add job or volunteer experience or anything. I hope I filled it out correctly.. Anyway, I have applied to the Houston campus. I emailed a counselor before applying to make sure I wasn't wasting my time and she said that I was competitive, so we'll see. I got accepted to UTMB for fall 2013, but I decided to pass on that offer because I want to be in Houston, not Galveston. My stats: Overall GPA: 3.55 Science GPA: 3.50 TEAS: 83.3% 2/4 preferences I'm also retaking A&P II at the moment just in case I don't get in. I already applied to UTHSC for spring 2013 and didn't get in because my science GPA was only a 3.0 back then, and if I apply again with an A instead of a B for A&P II, I will have a 3.7 and will have a much higher chance of getting in. I hope. QUESTION: do you think they'd think it's weird that I have a DP (drop pass- I took it at Baylor) for A&P II and a B, and now I'm taking it again to get an A? ...Oh well. Sorry for rambling! :x

Hi, would you mind me asking what your stats were? Im thinking of applying for the spring but am not sure if I would get in with my stats. I have a 3.5 prerequisite GPA and a 3.5 science GPA. I made an 82% on the TEAS. I also have two first attempt As in microbiology and statistics.

June 14th is the last day to accept or deny.

My science GPA was actually a 3.01 when I applied. My science GPA is a 3.5 now because I retook a class.

I denied my acceptance to UTMB because I have two pre-reqs left to complete and didn't think I could complete them. I would rather go to a school in Houston, but my GPA wasn't competitive enough for them so I didn't apply. I was going to apply to the Houston schools for Spring 2014. In my heart of hearts, Houston would be a better fit for me. So I thought, "let the people who are dying to go to this school in Galveston get your spot." It made sense at the time. I was scared to live in Galveston where I don't know anyone. So UTMB was the only school I applied to, and that is why I'm trying to get back in. I hope that makes sense. I was trying to be wise, but it back-fired on me. I hopefully will get an answer back tomorrow, so fingers crossed.

I received my acceptance email on May 30th. I was so confused about wether to accept or deny my offer. I decided that there were a lot of people out there who were SO passionate about getting in, that I would deny my offer to allow someone on the waiting list to get my spot. However, I wish I hadn't denied it because I just want to start school already! So I'm trying to get my offer back so I can accept it this time. My hopes aren't too high, but we'll see. Hopefully they're nice about it. If not, I'll be re-applying. Good luck to everyone who hasn't heard back yet!
