Utica University ABSN Albany - Latham

Looking to connect with the Fall 2024 cohort for this program. The negative reviews on this program is endless but I am committed. Let's form study groups, we can finish this strong cause I'm not about wasting money and efforts. Open to connect with the other Utica ABSN programs as well since the materials would be similar and we could study together.

Hi guys, seems like we're all in the club yet I am still unable to find out how to post in the club....The only options it gives me is to see who are in the club and recent activities of the club. I'm just looking to share my contact info whether its my email or whichever types of info that are allowed to be shared on this website

Hi, how can I join the club  ?

Whoever forms the Club must invite members into it.

Iam already in too for fall

Hi Laila, looking forward to seeing you and others at orientation. We'll exchange personal contact info there and form a study group!

hai can I know how to join the club ?

Hi. I'm applying for the Jan 2025 start date. Is there anyone I can message regarding applications ?

Hi Ahsan, what questions do you have? Not sure if I can help answering but your advisor rep would be able to answer your questions best imo.

How are the student interactions within the cohort and with other cohorts? I know I would have to move for this program, but how many days in the week are the in-person hands-on labs? Are the rotations done at the site or at hospitals? Also, how confident should I feel about getting accepted with a 3.7 science GPA? Yes, I know my advisor rep is best for these questions and she has been extremely helpful. It's nice to hear from others who are in the program themselves.

sorry I know my questions are unrelated to each other.

It's only our first week of classes but so far I feel like we have a great cohort, super friendly and motivated for this program. I haven't met one classmate who isn't determined to finish the program strong. We already formed study groups and helped each other succeed since it's a lot of information and materials to digest on the first week. You'll need to be on site 2-3 days a week for in person labs/exams. Clinical/rotation starts in Oct and that'll be at nearby hospitals. Your 3.7 science GPA seems promising but that also depends on what science classes you have taken, basic bio/chem versus organic chems/molecular chem, you know what I mean? Imo some students will have a harder time than the others since they have other priorities like children/job or been out of school for a long time but I believe with the right group/mindset, you'll succeed just fine (with a lot of efforts still, of course).

Hey I realized we're in the program but haven't shared contact info, I haven't really found a study group yet but I'm interested if your group is looking for more people.

Hi Nicole, are you in the AM lab group? My tablemates for the PM lab formed a group for lab activities so far. There's also a cohort groupchat on GroupMe, are you in that chat?
