UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Spring 14

Published

Hi everybody,

Im applying to UTHSCSA for the spring 14. Who's applying???? :D

Has anyone taken the TEAS Test yet???

I havent' taken my TEAS yet ... just wondering when and where can i take it at -.-

Hey,

My name is Janice, and I'm also applying to UTHSCSA for Spring 2014. I'm glad that you started a new thread for us! I'm takimg the TEAS next week, so I'm super nervous!! Have you submitted your application yet?

Hi iblue,

I am applying for the Spring semester as well. I took my Teas On Monday the 17th in SA at the park 10 location. Registering for the test is tricky and the spots fill fast so I'd check into it ASAP, register through ATI for the PSI testing services. If you have trouble, contact the school, they can help.

I got an 83.3 on my TEAS, what hurt me most was the math, I ran out of time. The science wasn't as difficult as the practice tests.

GOOD LUCK!

Hey locho91, I wish UTHSCSA forum was more active like other schools. Have you submitted your application yet? I've already submitted mine, but I haven't gotten any of the supplementary applications.

This is my second time applying. The first time I applied (Fall 2013 semester), I didn't get accepted simply because I was missing my A&P 2 lecture and lab as well as Gen. Chem 2 lecture and lab credits (even though I was going to finish them this past spring semester anyways and got A's in them). Aside from that, I was told that I had met all the requirements.

Hey, I'm sure you'll get in this time. I know the average TEAS score is around 76-80, but is that good enough? I've submitted my application and I don't know what to do now :/

The TEAS accounts for a huge for a huge percentage in admissions (I think 59%?) and the rest from your overall and science GPAs. Everyone who qualified for Spring 2013 got an offer.

Here's a link to the statistics:

It's not just CPR it should be BLS for HCP through AHA

translation lol: Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider through the American Heart Association.

Word of advice I would look for it through someone other then Red cross, they are way to expensive. I do mine every year on Walzem in the northeast side for $40. Don't know where in SA y'all live but this will save you some money.

Has anyone gotten the email with the supplemental application yet??
