UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

Hey guys! Congrats to everyone that got in. I wont' be joining you all this year and I"m sure it was because of my TEAS scores (definitely didn't study like i should have for it). I'm going to retake it and apply next semester. So if you anyone has any tips, send em my way.

I stopped by to see if y'all got your letters this week...Good to see they didn't torture you longer... Congrats to those of you that made it in...Get ready for a ride. Please let us know if you are accepted after being wait listed! Do you know when they will let them in?

Brandy said we won't hear anything back prior to April 20th but the way it seems is that a lot of people need to decline admissions before they even start pulling from wait list so I'm going to go ahead and say that wait listers are out already. I heard they want to keep the class at 110-115

I have been waitlisted as well. Im number 3/10. Have you talked to admissions?

The part about the bringing the class sizes down to 110-115 I heard from someone who is already in the program and they heard from admissions that they were talking about that. Not sure if that's what they plan to do with this cycle but by the looks of it, it seems true. Why else would they only admit 125? They probably already have a projection of how many will decline which is why they only wait listed so few...I really hope we have a chance and Im sorry if I sound so negative I just don't want to get my hopes up high and then for them to be crushed again...but all we can do right now is pray!

I was also wondering why the waitlist was so small. I already know of 4 people who are declining offers, but if they are only wanting a class of 110...

Im going to call SON tomorrow in the morning to get some of these questions cleared up

Ok please keep me informed about any information you hear!!! I kind of hoped that since the stats were so high this time around that all these smart people had to have applied to multiple schools since they have such good GPAs and teas scores UTHSCSA can't be the only school they want idk maybe I'm over analyzing the situation but please let me know!!!

Oh don't worry! I have thought the same thing. It will all work out! I will let you know what they say right after I call tomorrow. In the mean time, I applied to Baptist as a back up. I initially only applied to SAC but would rather have baptist as a backup since their NCLEX scores are pretty impressive. The deadline for them is May 15th
