U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello All, I am not sure if a thread has already started for the Bacc2 program, but I wanted to stay updated on the status of all the hopefuls out here. The deadline is soon approaching so hopefully I can stay patient during the wait.

Still haven't received anything....

I received my acceptance letter on Friday!!! :) I'm going to go ahead and pay the seat deposit fee, but I'm waiting to hear back from two others schools before I make my final decision! (They don't let people know until March 1st) Congrats to everyone who's already been accepted!!!!!!

Congrats Sarah-Aggie2013!! See-- I told you that you'd get in. Sorry you have to pay that deposit fee, but at least you are a Texas resident and not out of state. Good luck with the other two schools.

Thanks very much Melissa!!!! :) It's so great to at least be able to say I AM going to nursing school somewhere! :) I'll keep the posts updated for others who may be on waiting list as to whether I'm going for sure or not! While I don't necessarily want to pay the deposit fee knowing I'm still waiting on other schools, I am definitely going to do it!!

Does anyone know where UTHSCSA ranks amongst the other schools in Texas? Specifically UTMB, Texas Tech, and UTHSC-Houston

Top Ten Nursing Schools in Texas (According to Livestrong.com)

1. UTHSC - Houston

2. UT - Austin

3. UTHSC - San Antonio

4. Texas Women's University - Denton

5. UTMB - Galveston

6. Baylor University - Dallas

7. UT - Arlington

The website also provides rankings for these 10 schools according to the "U.S. News & World Report".

For anyone familiar with uthscsa parking, what parking permit do you recommend?

Hi everyone! Did you all get your student ID number before paperwork was due, or do I need to email **** about that? Thanks! :)

NinaAnder1225 -- I called the parking office a week ago and was told to wait on buying a permit until its closer to May, to avoid paying for unused months. Out of curiosity, I logged on to the parking website last night, and I was only offered a zone 5 parking pass... after staring at the map for a few minutes, I realized that zone 5 is way on north campus. Looks like we will be riding the shuttle during first semester.

Sarah-Aggie2013 -- We just received our Student ID# with our email setup last Thursday, which was about 2 weeks after our Seat Fee was due. I think if you don't have your number yet, you can turn in your paperwork and just leave that field blank.

Melissa1986 - Thanks so much! That's what I was going to do, but then I just wasn't exactly sure of how it all worked!

Sarah
