UTHSCSA-Summer 2013 Accelerated

Hello All, I am not sure if a thread has already started for the Bacc2 program,but I wanted to stay updated on the status of all the hopefuls out here. The deadline is soon approaching so hopefully I can stay patient during the wait.

I received a confirmation email a couple of days after I sent in my seat deposit. Did you drop it off or mail it?

Oh boy! I drop it off the office. I emailed Brandy and she said she received it but after that I have not heard from her. She said she will send the email confirmation after I have paid the seat deposit fee. The email confirmation contains the instructions as to how to set up the campus email, the online training, etc. I am now getting worried. Does your email confirmation contain those?

Oh I haven't received that email with the info about setting up our email or the online trainings either. I was just talking about getting an email confirming that she received the deposit. I'm hoping we will be getting the other email sometime this week.

I haven't gotten any information about setting up the email or the online training either.... Maybe she will send out the information later this week?

Hello guys! I'm new here. Congrats to all accepted! Does anyone know for sure if they will be attending UTHSCSA for the Summer 2013 accelerated program, or did any of you choose another school? We will not be getting our UTHSCSA email until we are fully matriculated into the school and in the system (around the first week of February) :-) I can't wait.

....and I see that they extended the deadline for the program until February. How many people are accepted into the accelerated program for the summer? I wonder if they're picky and haven't found enough qualified applicants or if not a lot of people are applying. I saw their statistics from the accelerated program last Summer and it shows 202 applicants, 96 people qualified, and 96 offers

I'm for sure going to the UTHSCSA in May.... I think they probably don't have enough qualified applicants, since they keep extending it.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I was checking my email like every 30 minutes for days, until I finally gave up. My anxiety was through the roof!..... I'm sure you'll get in. :)

I am also for sure going to UTHSCSA in May and I applied back in October/November. I really wish they would send out our email/student ID and the information regarding the computer. I don't want to have to pay thousands of dollars overnight because they waited until the last minute. I am not made of money, and I've already spent $350 just to get my seat, CPR, and fingerprints. Bleh... Sorry for venting.

Do they have to have a specific number of applicants every single cycle?
