UTHSCSA Spring 2015

I haven't seen a thread for the Health Science Center in San Antonio, so I decided to create one since I am curious as to when we will find out if we are accepted or not. I am very nervous! I really want to go to this school but I know a couple of people that didn't get accepted from previous terms that had a better GPA or a better TEAS V score than I do. I am praying!!!

I've been checking my email non stop as well. Based on the time line of last year's aapplication wait time we should hear something this week or at least I'm just really counting on it! This is my #1 school of choice.

I really hope we do hear something this week! That'd be awesome!!! This school is my number 1 choice as well!!

Someone should call them this week and ask them if it will be earlier! I would call them but I’m totally afraid they’re going to start recognizing my voice haha…. I’ve had so many questions! :blink:

And, are most of y’all going to be getting CPR certified before you know if you’re accepted or not? I want to wait but I’m not sure how long it takes to actually get your certification? Is there a reason most people are already signing up to get certified before we find out….maybe like a deadline I’m not aware of?

I would call but I feel like I call a lot poor Rosemary already knows me lol.. I asked about the CPR and she told me to wait to see if you are accepted or not cause they consider a specific type of CPR class. She says they give you more than enough time to complete it..

I know!! I always get her too…. If they have caller ID then I’m really embarrassed..but thank you for the update on the CPR class!

There is not deadline or something for the cpr as long as it is done before registration. I am just trying to get things out of the way as soon as I can. Even though we do not get accepted (that is not going to happen) it is something that would still be useful , and you'll need it sooner or later.

About the certification, you take the test and if you pass it they will give the certification to you at the moment (I think this depends on where you do it, but most of the ones I have heard of do it this way)

And about the type of cpr they require, it is on their website, and I called and asked. BLS healthcare providers through the American Heart Association. :)

Yes!! I did, I just got the email. My stomach sank I thought it was the email regarding our acceptance into the school lol..
