UTHSCSA Spring 2015

Published

I haven't seen a thread for the Health Science Center in San Antonio, so I decided to create one since I am curious as to when we will find out if we are accepted or not. I am very nervous! I really want to go to this school but I know a couple of people that didn't get accepted from previous terms that had a better GPA or a better TEAS V score than I do. I am praying!!!

llucio333,

Did it also tell you to complete the affidavit?? Thanks for your help :)

Does anyone need to complete the affidavit?

No, but I was doing absolutely nothing, so I figured I could try to help out. Haha

I did not go into much detail about my kids. I did not have to do an affidavit, I think you only had to do that if you were not a resident.

Who is considered a resident of texas? I called uthscsa, and I told them my situation: I am from Venezuela. I am here under a F1 visa (student) and have lived in texas for 2 years. They told me I am considered a Texas resident, but the lady didnt sound convinced :/ I will call again on tuesday, but maybe one of you can help :) thankss

From what I have read anyone with a F or J type visa are not considered residents no mater how much time they have spent here. Residency is only established if you have a green card or if you are a resident alien. Anyone with a F or J visa is a non-resident alien. Other type visa's can hold residency. Hope that helps.

Got the supp. app.!! Good luck to all!!

Hello every one! So it's almost 5am yet I'm still wide awake reading current and previous threads. I'm so glad I found you guys.. I've been a total wreck over this the whole summer...I received my supplemental application, but I'm just not quite sure what to respond on the 1st essay question.. I don't have any work experience related to nursing and only a few amount of volunteer hrs, like 4hrs total, at the Univ Hospital..I don't think it's anything worth noting, I never got to volunteer after that due to military training. Anyone else in the same situation?

I am in the same boat as you with the lack of work and volunteer experience in nursing. I did however put my work experience down and explained how it would help me in the nursing field.

Why do you want to be a nurse? What drives you and what have you done so far to get there? Write about that!

Same here Essay question #1 is giving my a hard time I was saying that I've only had not much volunteer experience, but I'm planning and looking forward to doing more

Plus I also write down the reason why I wanna be a nurse like Neptune said

Do we just pick one of the three and write on it or we have to do all 3 of them
